These baby orangutans meeting for the first time has melted our hearts.
Baby orangutans Gito and Asoka were introduced for the very first time and their reaction to one another is adorable. The two babies were living in West Borneo International Animal Rescue facility after being rescued and nursed back to health.
According to International Animal Rescue, Gito was found close to death in a urine soaked cardboard box, while Asoka was found weighing only 2kg.
After nursing the babies back to health, the team at West Borneo International Rescue decided to introduce them to each other. Gito hadn’t seen another orangutan since he was taken from his mother and sold as a pet.
About the video they've said, "This beautiful footage shows Gito absolutely fascinated with Asoka, staring at him and reaching out to touch, lick and chew on his new friend as much as possible."
