You might think that a 10-year-old boy would keep a Christmas present that he found in the street but you’d be wrong to make that assumption about Teddy.
He tracked down the recipient of a stolen gift, sent from California to Washington, that he and his mother found in a sidewalk.
Speaking to
News4, Teddy explained: “We had to bring this home. This is obviously a Christmas present for an infant.”
After finding a label which read “To: Bianca From: Aunty Myrlys”, Teddy posted what happened onto his neighbourhood mailing system LISTSERV. Three hours later, someone got in touch with details about the recipient to whom Teddy will now deliver the present.
He said of the outcome: “I was just so awestruck of the whole situation… We can all we say we like the feeling when we receive but I think it’s a better feeling when you give someone something.” (Hearts melted.)
Teddy successfully tracked down the recipient of the gift.
