Oh hello Friday - we've been expecting you!
Here are some of the many things that made Team Her.ie happy campers this week...

Girls Night Out
It's rare enough that we manage to get all of Team Her.ie out for a cocktail and some nibbles (busy as we are keeping the site up to date all hours of the day and night!). This week, though, we took a couple of lovely, lovely hours and headed to Balfe's in the stunning Westbury Hotel, just off Grafton St in the capital. The super-friendly staff treated us to a selection of delicious cocktails - the Loulerie Sparkler was quite the highlight - and delicious sharing platters of cured meats, cheese, fresh bread and gambas. We can't remember a nicer Monday. Keep an eye out for some cocktail recipes on the way too...
She's in Fashion
Cathy and Michelle headed to the Arnotts autumn/winter show this week and
Michelle has been dreaming of one particular Umit Kutluk dress ever since. This is NOT good news for her wallet...
Birthday Girl
Our
Mary McGuire had a pretty big birthday to celebrate and from helicopter flights over Dublin to 30 presents from her amazing big sister and LOADS of cake she certainly had a day to remember.
Keane on Roy
We headed to the Olympia this week to check out the always entertaining Roy Keane at Barretstown Talks. Even the most devoted Liverpool fans in the office had to admit it was pretty cool...
BBQ Baby!
We're having a Friday BBQ in the office today thanks to our pals at Iceland. As well as the goodies pictured, we'll be checking out the new speciality meat and fish products... adventurous souls that we are. The new range includes Ostrich, Crocodile and Kangaroo Burgers, Wild Boar & Apple Sausages, Swordfish Loins and Black Tiger Prawns. Yes please!
Book It
The latest Karin Slaughter thriller arrived into the office this week and
Rebecca can't wait to start it. The story is about a girl who is reminded of her sister, who mysteriously disappeared twenty years ago, when a similar case is reported in the news. We're on the edge of our seats already!
Cream of the Crop
If you did a double take when you saw this bottle, you're not the only one. Famous for it's (unmatchable!) butter, Irish brand Kerrygold has launched Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur into Ireland following a recent successful launch into the United States. Available exclusively in Dublin Airport, the blend of fresh natural cream, aged Irish whiskey and luxurious chocolate is absolutely delicious. We can see the new marketing campaign now... "Who's taking the booze to France?"
Gibson Celebrations
Our pals at the Gibson are celebrating their fifth birthday. So they sent US cake. This is why we have the best job in the world.
Flower Power
They do say diamonds are a girl's best friend, and if the looks on
Cathy and
Michelle's faces are anything to go by, that's most certainly true. The pair were treated this week to a bottle of the fabulous new Armani Diamonds Violet and some beautiful flowers. Hence the cheesy grins... and the office that now smells amazing.
Supervalu Treats
You may be seeing why a diet in this office never works out. Supervalu are forever sending us delicious treats (please never stop). They're marking the stunning new look stores in Knocklyon and Swords, so we'll be popping in for some shopping over the weekend.
