This is the bane of my life.
I hate asking my friends to take a picture of me for two reasons, one because I know they will go "ugh GRAND" and secondly because I know it will be vile and I'll request 400 more.
So you can see the issue, the problem is always the same. One cares too little and the other cares too much.
We ALL know that getting
the pic that is 'gram worthy ain't easy especially in today's world where feeds look like America's Next Top Model and we're just over here trying our very best to compete. Ah, the joys of being a millennial eh?
So WHY is it so hard to get a fire picture like this?
I'll tell you why, with a
definitive list of 10 HASHTAG STRUGGLES when asking your mate to take your pic.
1. They never have time
Me: Oh before we go can you take a quick pic of me?
Them: What now? Ugh grand but come on quick like we "don't have time".
2. They don't look at your phone while taking the pic
Like? If you're going to take my pic at least ACTUALLY TAKE IT OF ME.
3. They take one picture
How am I meant to get my candid grove on with one picture? I have nothing to work with here.
4. You ask them can you look at it quick (as you might need another one)
Result = unhappy friend.
5. The picture is seriously not centered. Why is there so much floor in this TINA?
Like, come on???
6. "Why are you so bothered with pics anyways?"
Eh because my killer outfit cost €70 and I would like a snap in it, thanks.
7. They don't know that you actually don't enjoy asking their stubborn arse for a pic.
Like, my life goal isn't to annoy you by asking for a picture would you believe...
8. And that you know you're being an inconvenience
This isn't fun for either of us, I just really need a stunnin' pic pls.
9. You then ask them do they want a pic
Me: Go on I'll take your pic.
Them: OK.
Them: Ugh I don't like it will you take another?
Me: Takes 100 more.
10. They upload the FIRE snap you took of them.
You are left with a blurry image you've no choice to caption: "Blurry pic to match a blurry night".
Hell.
