It's the little things.

When was the last time you smiled? As in properly grinned from ear to ear? And it doesn't always have to be something massive either, sometimes the simplest things can make us the happiest. Here is a list of things that always make us smile no matter what. 1. A hug from your mum After a tough breakup, or even just after a tough day, there is nothing you want more than a hug from your mum. I swear it can fix a multitude of problems. 2. Finding a fiver in your pocket Especially when it's coming towards the end of the month and your pay cheque feels like a distant memory. Meeting up with a friend you haven't seen in ages  A good catch up is always going to put a smile on your face. Seeing how an old friend is doing and catching up on old times always has us grinning in no time. 4. Getting a letter in the post Finally, something that isn't a bill. Is it just me or is getting an actual handwritten letter in the post the best thing ever? It's always nice to think that someone has taken the time to write you a little note. Unexpected bargains Have you ever been paying for something at the till and the cashier charges you less than you thought it would be? It's a moment of pure joy and excitement. via GIPHY 6. Fresh sheets There is nothing and I mean nothing better than climbing into a set of fresh sheets when you're really tired and it is raining outside. Seeing your dog/cat after a long hard day No matter how rough a day you have had, your dog/cat will always be extremely happy to see you. Seeing their little face is guaranteed to make you feel 100% better. via GIPHY 8. Setting your out of office emails This is a guilty pleasure we all have. There is nothing like the smug satisfaction of setting your out of office emails when you're going on annual leave. No matter what goes on the week you're away it's absolutely none of your business. Setting your out of office emails is like the adult equivalent of finishing your final exams and walking out of school for the summer holidays. via GIPHY 9. Getting an unexpected text Whether it is from a potential date or a friend you haven't seen in a while, getting a text from someone unexpected is always nice. 10. Finding that top you thought you lost a month ago You eventually found it down the back of your chest of drawers, after blaming your sister for stealing it for weeks on end.
