Share This…Not Your Oats And More
We’ve all had to deal with colleagues in the work place who have some really annoying habits. From putting empty milk cartons back in the fridge to rocking into work an hour late on the day of that really important presentation, it can really feel like some of your co-workers just go out of their way to annoy you.
Here are some of our top pet peeves…

Dirty dishes…
There’s always at least one person in the workplace who will eat something that will stick and stain the dishes, but nothing is worse than when they leave said dishes in the sink to congeal and…
grow stuff… barf.
There goes that cup of tea
We all love our morning (slash mid-morning/afternoon) tea or coffee, but nothing drives us mad more than getting to the fridge and finding there’s no milk in the fridge and, not only that, but there’s a lovely empty milk carton sitting prettily on the shelf. Cheers guys.
“I feel so bad”
We’ve all had those days, you go into work and you’re just not feeling yourself. Maybe you’re smothered with a cold, you ate something dodgy the night before or you just have an all-round feeling of ‘meh’. Never fear, there is
always someone in the office who feels worse than you.
Mind your own…
You’re settling down for a nice catch-up with your work bestie at lunch when the office nosey-parker leans over with a “What’s that now?” There’s always someone who is mad to know your business and there’s no doubt that anything they ‘overhear’ (purposely listen to) will become office gossip fodder for the remainder of the day.
Too. Much. Noise.
We all love a good laugh and natter at work as it makes the day go by quicker and it puts you in good humour. There are always those that take it that bit further though – to the point that you know everything about their lives as they roar their most private conversations across the office to each other, while guffawing extremely loudly. Couple this with eating really loudly and it’s like nails on a chalkboard.
Working 9 to 5
Work is hard, we all know it, we all agree on it and there’s no one that understands it more than the people you work with. But no matter how heavy your workload is, there will always be someone who is more overworked than you (invariably the same person who is sicker/more tired than you).
Holidays are coming
You’ve been talking about that trip to London/Prague/Milan (sigh.. insert other dream city break destination) for months now. Everyone in the office knows you were aiming to go in January, yet when you go to book the time off, there’s always someone who has booked those exact days off and pleads ignorance to your plight. Grrr.
Fancy a swap?
The workplace is all about working as a team and helping each other out whenever you can. However, what about that colleague who
always asks to swop shifts due to their social/family life, yet scrunch their nose up at you when you ask for a favour in return. Not cool.
It’s all about me, me, me
As we’ve mentioned already, there’s always someone at work who is more tired, sicker than you, has a better social life than you, and on the same note, there’s always someone who just tries too hard to impress the boss. Cue fake smiles, fake laughter and some really teeth-clenching clichéd phrases. Oh and that good idea you mentioned – well, it’s not yours anymore!
What clock?
You are under pressure at work, you haven’t eaten all morning and yet someone at work will come in late, will take an extended lunch-break or will have a two-hour chat as they ‘make tea’. Don’t worry guys, I’m just wasting away here.
