The research, carried out by BioMed Research International showed ashwagandha supplementation caused a significant reduction in sexually related distress.
Apparently, ashwagandha helps increase testosterone production in women, a factor in androgen deficiency syndrome, which in turn is also associated with female sexual dysfunction.
Ashwagandha is widely available in capsule form and doesn't get in the way of the contraceptive pill.
Pukka Herbs’ medical herbalist, Katie Pande explains: “Ashwagandha can be taken as a supplement alongside any other forms of contraception to help with boosting orgasms and generally feeling sexier, something we ladies struggle with, especially with our busy lifestyles.”
Pukka Herb’s Ashwagandha capsules are available in all good health shops.
