A recent study published by Nature Neuroscience has shown that employees who take 20-30 minute power naps in the middle of the working day stay as focused as they were during their peak performance hours.
Furthermore, people who manage to sneak off for an hour's sleep on the job actually become more productive as the day goes on.
Author of Take a Nap! Change Your Life, Dr. Sara Mednik, told the New York Times that while long naps could leave you feeling groggy, naps between 20 and 60 minutes can actually help with memory function.
And the good news doesn't stop there.
Women typically need to get 20 minutes more sleep than men, because we multitask and our brains work harder.
That's 20 minutes that could easily be nabbed in a quiet, dark room down the back of the office.
