"There’s no optimal number of times people need to masturbate, this will vary significantly from person to person," she told us. That's not to say that there's no such thing as too much, though. It can happen when people over-rely on porn when masturbating, according to Teresa.
"When dependence on, or addiction to pornography becomes an issue, people find themselves masturbating repeatedly throughout the day and this interferes with work, relationships and everything else we need to pay attention to."
