And they won't take long to make.

The weekend is nearly here, and what better way to celebrate than take a beloved and classic breakfast treat...and add some coffee. We stumbled across this recipe for coffee-flavoured Belgian waffles from Bon Appétit and it is absolute brunch goals. And, to make things better, they're actually really easy to make. Here's what you'll need ...

• 1½ cups all-purpose flour
• ¼ cup granulated sugar
• ¼ cup (packed) light brown sugar
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• ½ teaspoon salt
• ¼ teaspoon baking soda
• 2 large eggs, room temperature, beaten to blend
• 2 tablespoons whole-milk ricotta, room temperature
• 1¼ cups buttermilk
• 2 tablespoons instant espresso powder, plus more for serving
• 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, plus more for brushing
• Maple syrup and whipped cream (for serving)

The recipe will whip up four mouth-watering waffles, but you need more (or less) you can always adjust the recipe accordingly. The process should take you just over half an hour to make the batter, according to the magazine, around 5-7 minutes to cook every waffle. The sweet brunch makes 4 mouth-watering waffles, and can be adjusted if you want more or less of the sweet treat - and if you don't have a Belgian waffle iron. Here's what you need to do...

1. Whisk flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl to combine.
2. Whisk eggs and ricotta in a large bowl just to incorporate, then add buttermilk and 2 Tbsp. espresso powder; whisk until smooth.
3. Whisk in 5 Tbsp. melted butter, then fold in dry ingredients with a rubber spatula, being careful not to overmix (some lumps are okay).
4. Let batter sit uncovered at room temperature 30 minutes to allow the flour to hydrate.
5. Preheat oven to 200°. Set a wire rack inside a rimmed baking sheet and place in oven.
6. Heat waffle iron and brush with butter. Pour 1 cup batter onto iron and cook until waffle is golden brown and cooked through (around 5–7 minutes)
7. Transfer to wire rack in oven. Repeat with remaining batter, brushing iron with more butter as needed. (Waffles will be limp at first but will crisp up as they sit.)
8. Serve waffles topped with whipped cream, drizzled with maple syrup, and sprinkled with more espresso powder.
