Whether you're a fan of McDonald's food or not, there's little chance that you've managed to make it to this stage in your life without knowing what a Big Mac is.
Introduced in a Pittsburgh restaurant in 1967, the burger has become one of (probably
the) best-selling burgers at the fast-food chain and an ever-present on their menus.
Michael "Jim" Delligatti, the man who invented the Big Mac, died at his home in Pittsburgh earlier this week. He was 98 years of age.
In recognition of his death, McDonald's sent out the following tweet, thanking him for his contribution.
