Being vegetarian (mostly vegan, to be honest) it has been a few years since I gave up dairy, and started going for alternative kinds of 'milk' when it came to both my morning coffee, and also for all other things. I tried soy, but was never a fan, and likewise, I went through a phase of drinking both almond and coconut milk in my latte, yet it never really felt as decadent and frothy as regular milk had been, although I didn't mind the taste at all. However, since the day I tried oat milk for the first time, I have never looked back. Not only are oats a far more sustainable and locally-sourced choice for us here in Europe, but oat milk also tastes so, so good. I use oat milk now for all my baking, for cereal, porridge and last, but not least, for my morning latte.
