We do love a cheeky takeaway but the habit is not exactly healthy AND it's tough on our pockets too - €7.50 for a substandard offering - are ya mad?!

But what if we told you that you could have cheap take-away food with far less calories and with minimal effort? Well thankfully Chef Adrian, from RTÉs Fakeaway and Chef Adrian Eats Ireland, has come to the rescue. His brand new cook book is filled with various world cuisine and shows us just how easy it is to recreate the many tasty treats we often crave, but sometimes feel guilty about. He also lends us some super helpful cooking tips. One of them recommends we hold a spoon in our mouths while chopping onions to avoid getting all teary-eyed. Why thank you Adrian.

Think doner kebab, spice bag, parmesan fries and chicken wings with a smoked garlic and chive dip - oh and brownies for dessert. No doubt many of you are already salivating and to help lessen your predicament we’re giving you an appetising recipe from the brand new book, so you can go ahead and get the BBQ going on this fine sunny day. Don't forget to look out for more recipes during the week! The Pimped Up Burger Serves 4 570g beef mince 2 good pinches of sea salt 100g breadcrumbs 4 eggs + 2 egg yolks A small piece of ginger, grated 2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce + extra for topping Olive oil 4 of your favourite buns 400g smoked cheddar Mayonnaise 1. Preheat the oven to 170ºC/325ºF/gas mark 3. 2. Mix the mince, sea salt, breadcrumbs, egg yolks, ginger and sweet chilli sauce in a large bowl. Split the mixture into four pieces and shape into patties. 3. Heat some oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and cook the patties until they are golden and crispy on each side. 4. While the patties are cooking, use a ring cutter to cut out a ring from the top of each of the burger buns. Put these on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and crack an egg into the hole in the middle of each. Bake the buns with the eggs in the oven for 5–8 minutes. If you like your egg runny take it out after 5 minutes. If you like it well cooked, leave it in for the full 8 minutes. 5. Once the burgers are cooked, grate the cheese over them. 6. Now it’s time to build your burger. Spread a layer of mayonnaise on the bottom part of the burger bun, then add the burger with cheese, blob some sweet chilli sauce on Enjoy!
