When it comes to cool and viral new food or drink trends to try, TikTok has quickly become the go-to place to find them.
From whipped coffees to
that baked feta cheese pasta, we have been kept busy this past year testing out all the dishes and drinks TikTok has been telling us we need to know about.
And right now, apparently, what we should all be sipping to beat the heat, are cookie butter lattes.
Sounds tasty? We know!
And the good news is, they are not overly complicated or time-consuming to throw together either.
According to
food blog Sugar and Soul, cookie butter lattes are a knock off of a drink available to order on Starbucks' secret menu, and that the DIY version has been taking TikTok with storm lately.
All you need to make it at home is:
- A brown sugar simple syrup (Sugar and Soul has a recipe here)
- Chai tea concentrate (you can order this from Amazon or find recipes on how to DIY it on Pinterest)
- Oat milk
- Ice cubes
As for how to make the drink, it could not be easier, apparently.
Simply pour the brown sugar syrup, chai, and oat milk into a glass filled with ice cubes, and stir before serving up with a straw. That’s it!
Sugar and Soul also shared this handy little life hack to keep in mind:
"Feel free to mix up a large batch at the beginning of the week and store it in the fridge. Then just pour it into your to-go cup with ice in the mornings for a quick and easy dose of caffeine!"
