Grab this opportunity by the balls and give it your all! Exactly like the Ballina native Katie Cassidy did last year with her rendition of Nina Simone's Feeling Good! Here’s how it’s going to go down: When you enter the Apple of My Eye Song Contest, you’ll be showcasing your jam (whether that be your own cover, your very own song, picking up the guitar etc.) in front of our panel of judges - JOE’s Paddy McKenna, Barq’s Jess Kavanagh and singer Jack O’Rourke! From here, five finalists will be chosen by the judges AND by YOU, the public. Judges will pick three finalists while public vote (on the Her website) will decide which two have made it also.

Four runners up will win €250 (no one goes home empty handed - hurray!) while the winner will take home the MEGA prize of €1500, a Whelan’s gig and their slot at Indiependence! To enter, all we ask is that you, the singers or bands, perform a cover of your favourite song and send it in to us. There are a number of ways to submit - you can send an email to LeCrunch@maximummedia.ie with your MP3 or MP4 file attached. You can include a link to your YouTube video in the body of the email showcasing what you do best too. Or you can post your video on Twitter with the hashtag #LeCrunchSongs. Please don’t forget to include your contact details too! - and the closing date is February 19, 2018. If you’re shortlisted as a semi-finalist, we’ll be contacting you.
