"Do you have a favourite child?" A controversial question to ask any parent but one third of Mothers have admitted to having a preference, according to a survey carried out by Parentdish.
2212 parents completed the survey and results show that 34% of Mums confessed to having a favourite child with only 28% of Dads. Bless the Dads.
Studies suggest that all parents have their favourites, some for the first born or because of their gender.
Daddy's little girl or Mother's blue-eyed boy, parental favouritism is said to have unpredictable effects in later life.

Letting the favourite child away with murder may leave them suffering from emotional guilt, deliberately sabotaging relationships, feeling they are not worthy of love or deserve to be happy. (We can't really see it either).
The not so favourite child may possibly grow up feeling hard done by, entering adulthood with the belief that they are unworthy of a loving relationship and constantly crave affection.
In the same survey 42% of parents said the part that made them happiest about being a parent was the unconditional love and affection. Parents also confessed to missing Sunday lie-ins and their healthy bank balances the most.
Have you ever felt shunned by your Granny? Apparently Grandmothers prefer their daughter's children too. We're sure they love us all equally really.
