A new Irish site has launched today, offering pre-loved designer children’s clothing.
Twice Smitten will see parents offered secondhand designer clothing for children at up to 70% less than retail prices. This is Ireland’s first and only online business dedicated to pre-loved kid’s designer clothing, a market segment that has flourished in the UK and U.S. as well as other international markets.
Twice Smitten sells boys’ and girls’ couture, from new born to 12 years of age, from designers like Chloe, Bonpoint, Baby Dior, Catimini, Jacadi, Ralph Lauren, Stella McCartney, Timberland, Tommy Hilfiger and more.
Founded by Cathy Slattery, a Dublin-born mother of three, Twice Smitten aims to answer a demand in the Irish clothing market, offering high quality, ‘pre-loved’ designer kids’ clothes at recession prices. The web business sells flawless ‘like-new’, or never worn clothing, from dresses and tops, to trousers and skirts for both girls and boys. Everything sold on Twice Smitten is carefully selected by management, ensuring all clothing is in mint condition, and customers can return any purchases within 14 days for a full refund. Twice Smitten accepts Visa, MasterCard and PayPal.

Founder Cathy Slattery said, ”The recession has been tough on all of us – but having less disposable income than we did before doesn’t mean our kids can’t still look great. I believe that parents will respond really well to what Twice Smitten is offering, whether they’re interested in picking up a real bargain or looking to make some money from the boxes of out-grown clothing in their attics and under their beds.”
Twice Smitten also provides the opportunity for parents to turn their out-grown kids’ clothes into hard cash and pays sellers 50% of the money earned on the sale of their loved ones’ designer duds. Anyone can sign up as a seller through the website.
