The Great South Wall Walk, Dublin. If you're living in Dublin, The Great South Wall Walk is the perfect place to escape to at the weekend. The walk goes the whole way to Poolbeg Lighthouse (about 4km) and takes in stunning views of Dun Laoghaire and Sandymount strand.
Devil's Glen, Wicklow. The Devil's Glen is totally kid-friendly (despite its name). The walk takes about an hour and a half. While wandering along, you’ll encounter a sculpture trail in the middle of the forested area as well as lots of picnic benches which are perfect for a little pit stop.
Barna Wood, Galway. Spending the weekend in Galway? Then you might fancy a little family stroll through Barna Wood. Located near Silverstrand, Barna Wood is a great place for an easy family day out. See if the kids can find the holy well where St.Enda is said to have rested before travelling to the Aran Islands in the 5th century.
North Down Coastal Path, Down. This is a great walk if you like to stick to flat ground (pushing a buggy up a hill is no fun). The North Down Coastal Path stretches from Holywood in the west to Orlock in the east. The walk gives you amazing coastal views and you can sometimes even spot grey seals offshore.
