Captain Planet, he's our hero, Gonna take pollution down to zero.
In the ultimate throwback, remember Captain Planet? He was one of the best cartoons to watch as a kid.
But do you remember, or do you know, that they did a special episode about Belfast?
More specifically, to help save the city from being bombed and centred on the divide between Catholics and Protestants. The whole premise went over our heads as children but watching it now the topic is so risque for a cartoon.
The popular series ran from 1990 to 1996 and usually featured environmental issues and sometimes political issues.
Earth! Fire! Wind! Water! Heart! Rid Belfast Of A Bomb! ... it doesn't exactly have the same ring to it.
