RTÉ have released a new clip ahead of tonight's 1916 documentary.
The second in a three-part documentary series, 1916, continues tonight on RTÉ One. The documentary is voiced by Liam Neeson and aims to take viewers through the events of the week of the rising on a day-to-day basis.
Through the words of historians and the use of graphics, 1916 gives the audience an insight into key locations, such as the GPO, the atmosphere, moral and overall view of what happened in the city during the rising.
Viewers will also hear the voices of participants, from the rebels to the British soldiers and civilian witnesses. The documentary hopes to let the audience experience what it was like to be an eyewitness to these events.
