Splash was a brilliant movie and now it's making a return.
Brian Grazer, the producer behind the 1984 classic movie, has said that it's being remade and he's involved.
The 1984 movie centered around a man, Allen Bauer, played by Tom Hanks, who was rescued from drowning as a child by a young mermaid. Years later, the exact same thing happens in the exact same place and once again he's rescued by the mermaid.
The mermaid, played by Daryl Hannah, later decides to search for him by getting legs instead of her tail and she heads to New York to find him.
Now over 20 years later, we're about to revisit the story all over again. Brian was speaking with CNBC when he gave some details about the remake but he wasn't giving much away.
The only things he said was that he would be making the movie from the view of the mermaid. He also said that there would be a twist but wouldn't disclose what the twist would be.
Here's his interview:
