The trailer for season two of Dirty John is here and the excitement is real.
Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story stars Amanda Peet and Christian Slater and will be airing in North America later this year.
"The show is based on an epic true tale of love gone wrong -- a story that spans the 1960s to the '80s, through the breakdown of a marriage that Oprah Winfrey deemed one of 'America’s messiest divorces' even before it ended in double homicide," USA Network teased about the series.
Betty Broderick's picture-perfect life is shattered when she finds out that her husband - her college sweetheart, Dan - is cheating on her.
The footage begins with her doting on her husband and their children, although the voiceover hints there's more going on that meets the eye.
"I wanted a husband and a family. Dan needed a wife that could wait on him. I would have been treated better if I'd been a dog and served my master," she fumes. "I was married for 16 years and then he turns 40 and he's walking out with a 19-year-old and a sports car."
"Betty’s attempts to fight back and enraged refusals to accept reality only serve to isolate and destabilize her until she loses her very identity. And Dan’s cold confidence blinds him to the bear he has created, and won’t stop poking … until it’s too late," the series' description continues.
And, yeah, this is definitely one that we're going to want to keep an eye out for.
Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story is set to air on USA Network in June, although no exact release date has been set yet. In the meantime you can check out the trailer below.
