The wonderfully talented and quite brilliant Matthew McConaughey has been nominated for an Oscar for his turn in Dallas Buyer's Club where he plays hustler, Ron Woodroof. When he discovers he is HIV Positive, Ron tries to prolong his life for as long as possible, which also ends up helping hundreds of others. Now, don't get us wrong here. McConaughey is a great actor and even though he has appeared in quite a few rom-coms, we still love pretty much everything he has appeared in over the years. Yes, even the bad ones. However, if someone had said to us two years ago that he would have received an Oscar nomination, we would have been just a little skeptical. Here are seven reasons why we would be that skeptical. 1.
