We've been waiting months for the first official trailer of T2, the sequel to Trainspotting and it's finally been released. We were gifted with a teaser three months ago but that just made it increasingly harder to wait to see more.
In the teaser we only got a 40 second clip which mimicked a scene from the first movie, where we see Renton, Sick Boy, Spud (Ewen Bremner) and Begbie (Robert Carlyle) standing on a train platform as a train passes.
But now a full 2 minute trailer has been released and shows the lads getting back together after twenty years. The famous words, "choose life", ring out through the trailer, staying true to the original film.
We've already been told that T2, which is inspired by Irvine Welsh's novel Porno. Welsh revealed that in an interview with Vice, and also said:
"John [Hodge] has delivered this knockout script, which is absolutely fantastic. It's based on Porno, but it's also evolved. We've had to evolve past that, because the actors would have been ten years older when Porno came out, and now they're 20 years older. It has to take into account that reality. It's very much telling a story about Edinburgh as it currently is."
If you've never seen the first movie then then good news is you have until January 27th, 2017 before the next one is released. You have absolutely no excuse to get involved and excited for T2.
