Rumour has it Adele has agreed to be a judge on The X Factor in the not too distant future.
According to the Daily Star Sunday, the award-winning singer could end up on the panel in 2016 or whenever she finishes her next album and subsequent tour.
The report claims that Simon Cowell wanted her for this year’s series but that she turned him down due to other commitments.
An insider told the newspaper: “She really wants to join the show, even if it is just for a one-off year. Although no contract has been signed, Adele has made it clear to Simon she’s up for it when the time is right”.
This means that there is still a seat unfilled on this year’s panel. Recent rumours have tipped Mel B and Alesha Dixon as the favourites to join Simon, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole.
