And while the return of the series has brought with it an entirely new cast, new murders, and reams of totally unnecessary voiceover, there's one scene in particular that fully confirms that season two is not here to mess around: the meat grinder scene.
Spoilers if you have yet to venture into the second series of You, naturally.
After stealing Will's identity and locking him up in another glass cage, Joe runs into Jasper, a fairly dangerous man who Will owes a lot of money too.
Presuming that Joe is Will - because he's supposed to be, remember? - Jasper cuts off the tip of Joe's finger and warns him that he'll only get the tip back for reattachment once he brings him his money.
Joe, however, simply does not possess this much coin so he decides to murder Jasper and send his body through a meat grinder instead.
The scene is intercut with a couple of shots of Joe's new love interest - aptly named Love - preparing herself a meal, tearing through meat while limbs are separated from their torso, cracking eggs into flour as arms are transformed into mince.
It's a fairly gruesome scene. Not for the faint of heart.
There remains, however, a few questions: most notably regarding where in the name of God Joe happened to find a meat grinder during his time of need, and whether he gave it a deep clean afterwards.
But listen, this is You. We're not concerned with such plot holes. Just give us more murder, please.
You season two is streaming on Netflix now.
