The most popular Disney princess in the world has been revealed.
When it comes to Disney royalty, everyone has their personal favourite. But it turns out there's one princess which has stolen the most hearts.
Research from
PlayLikeMum analysed Google search data from every country to find the most popular Disney princess in the world - and in each country, too.
The company decided to look at princesses in the more traditional sense, only looking at characters who either married a prince or were born into a royal family.
It turns out that Cinderella was the fan-favourite in 76 countries (including Ireland), followed by
Frozen's Elsa and
Tangled's Rapunzel in 28 countries each.
Belle from
Beauty and the Beast came in as the fourth most popular (9 countries), followed by
The Little Mermaid's Ariel (8 countries).
Europe was pretty split between Cinderella, one of the classic Disney princesses, and the more recent fan-favourite Elsa from
Frozen.
Tangled’s Rapunzel was also popular in countries like Spain, Portugal and Finland - and Italy was the only country in Europe to prefer
The Little Mermaid, while the favourite Disney princess in Malta was Snow White.
And if you're looking to see the full break-down of which country preferred which princess,
you can find that here.
