Irish designer Paul Costelloe has been heavily criticised for comments made about a number of female figures during an appearance on the Late Late Show on Friday night. During the course of a discussion with Ryan Tubridy, Costelloe made derogatory remarks about Rod Stewart’s wife Penny Lancaster and Prince Charles’ wife, Camilla, while he recalled repeatedly addressing Princess Diana as ‘honey’ during a past encounter with the late Princess of Wales. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDc-FvEQsaI While talking about Rod Stewart, the conversation between Costelloe and host Ryan Tubridy proceeded as follows… Costelloe: “I don’t like his wife, she’s a bit gawky, you know (laughs).” Tubridy: “She’s a bit what?” Costelloe: “Gawky. Sort of, you know, trying too hard to be the second or third wife. You know. Can’t stand it. Same as Charlie a little bit, you know."
