Netflix's Ragnarok has been renewed for a second season.

The coming-of-age drama, set in the small fictional town of Edda, builds on - and contributes to - a new and surprising angle to Norse mythology. The six-episode first season debuted on January 31, 2020. The Norwegian superhero story follows Magne, an awkward teenager who moves to Edda with his mum Turid and brother Laurits.

"The story revolves around the inhabitants of Edda, who are perhaps not all who they claim to be. With them, we experience a drastically changing world: melting poles, warm winters, violent downpours," the description for the series reads. "Some might say we’re headed for yet another Ragnarok. Unless someone intervenes in time..." The streaming service took to social media on Wednesday to confirm that Ragnarok had been renewed for a season two. No other details were made available, but we'd imagine the series will debut at some point in early 2021. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer for the first season of Ragnarok below.
