Finally.
The date for the final episodes of
Grace and Frankie has finally been announced and we don't have long to wait for it.
The long running
Netflix series is set to come to an end on April 29th after seven seasons on the streaming platform, and they're promising to give them a good send off.
The sitcom announced on Twitter on Tuesday that the show would be ending, saying that "the sun's about to set" and they're "just getting lit".
The production on the latest series was halted due to Covid-19, with four episodes of the seventh season dropping in August last year before it was announced that more were on the way.
Making the announcement on August 13, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda appeared in a short clip to explain that they missed their viewers but noted that it was much more important that the viewers missed them.

Jokingly interrupting each other, they promised that they were hard at work filming the new series and now we'll get a glimpse of it next month.
If you haven't been watching the show (there's still so much time to catch up FYI), it centres around Grace and Frankie's friendship after they discover their rich husbands have been secretly in a relationship together for decades.
With a total of 94 episodes expected by the time the series finished, it will be the longest running original Netflix show in their history, meaning it will out-do the likes of Orange is the New Black and Stranger Things.
Back in 2016, Baron Vaughn delighted fans when she told Glamour that Tomlin and Fonda are just as close off screen as they are on the show. Speaking about Tomlin, she said: "What a generous, kind soul. She’s a huge influence on me because she has this generosity of spirit that is apparent in all of her work. She likes to hear what people have to say. But also, just the nicest person, and she’s so considerate of others.”
When it came to Fonda, Vaughn added, “She is a queen. She is royalty.”
