5. Madonna - Like A Prayer

Madonna is no stranger to banned videos but she really came under fire with what was considered a particularly blasphemous production. Those burning crosses didn't go down too well.

6. Rihanna - S&M

Another popstar who is a friend of the banned videos is Rihanna. S &M was banned in 11 countries!

7. Lady Gaga - Alejandro

Almost in a nod to Madonna, Alejandro received an after 10pm restriction from MTV.

8. Nine Inch Nails - Closer

9. Garth Brooks - Thunder Rolls

Due to its theme of domestic violence, Brooks video was banned from tvs. The song still documents what happens to a husband who eventually gets his comeuppance for abusing his wife, but it is almost impossible to get a hold of.
