Michelle Obama’s look outdid everyone for Beyonce’s birthday

What a woman.

Over the weekend, Queen Bey turned the humble age of 36. We're sure that there are plenty of ways Beyonce celebrated her birth (another stunning photo shoot in a floral hedge maze, perhaps?) But that's nothing compared to the way that Michelle Obama, Serena Williams, and a host of others celebrated the day. Taking a leaf out of Bey's own book, the ladies donned wide brim black hats and dressed up in non-other than the iconic outfit from the Formation music video. And they looked fab. But they weren't the only mates of Bey's to get in on the action. Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, and even Blue Ivy also took the opportunity to don the look - the pictures of which were shared on Beyonce's website with a birthday message attached. Upon its release, Beyonce's Formation video was praised widely for its depictions of black culture, condemnation of police brutality in the US, and Beyonce's own pride for being a successful black woman. Formation won Best Music Video at last year's Grammy awards.
