Actresses and actors are often put under a lot of pressure to lose weight for a role.  They're sometimes asked to drop a few pounds and other times they need to drop a whole dress size. It must be very upsetting if you are chosen for a role but asked to lose weight when you're already a very healthy size. That happened to Margot Robbie for her most recent role but she had the perfect comeback as to why she didn't need to lose weight. She plays Jane in the remake of the popular story Tarzan and recently spoke to an Australian magazine TV Week about why she refused to lose the weight. She said, "It’s the 19th century (in the film) – if she’s got a bit of weight on her, it’s probably a good thing. I’m not going to look thin just for the sake of it." She also added, "It was my first time living in London properly and I wanted to try every pub." Her co-star Alexander Skarsgard didn't get off as lightly and was put on a strict diet to bulk up for the role. He had a very intensive workout regime and also had to eat 7,000 calories a day which consisted of no sugar, dairy, wheat, alcohol or gluten. According to The Daily Mail, Margot has previously said that she doesn't want to be a certain stereotype because of her beauty.

She said, "I want to keep looking for roles where the main interest will be in the character and her importance in driving a story forward, rather than her relationship with a male character".

"Films like The Wolf of Wall Street and Focus gave me a chance to play charismatic and clever women, even though they do have a glamorous side."
