Love Island fans reckon they have figured out the start date for the summer series.

Yes, it hasn't been long since Paige Turley and Finley Tapp were declared the winners of winter Love Island and walked away with the £50,000 prize. But it looks like fans are eager for more of the summer reality TV series, as some have already tried to figure out when the series will be back on telly screens. Reddit users figured out that Love Island typically begins on the Monday of the first week of June. And this means that if the summer series were to follow suit, it would premiere on either June 1 or June 8. "While there is no set date for the summer version of the show, for the last few seasons Love Island has kicked off on June 3 and 4, respectively — both dates being on a Monday," they explained. "Based on this information, we expect the new season to start on either Monday 1st June or Monday 8th June." It comes a few days after it was revealed that applications are already open for the summer series of Love Island.  If you're interested in taking part on the hit ITV2 show, all you have to do is register and fill in an application form – as long as you meet the eligibility requirements. There are a few things to note, so pay attention. You must be aged at least 18 years of age or over due to the nature of the programme. You must hold a passport which will be valid for the whole period of filming of the programme and at least six months thereafter, and be eligible to travel to the programme destinations that ITV specify. You also agree to notify ITV immediately of any change to your passport or travel status. You must be exclusively available to participate in the programme for a minimum of eight consecutive weeks for production of the series.
