Calvin Harris' lifetime ban from The X Factor has been lifted. It all started when Calvin ran on stage during Jedward's performance back in 2009.
He was in the audience to take part in the spin-off show and instead of just staying in his seat like everyone else he jumped up on stage.
What's more, he had a pineapple with him and turned his back to the audience while hitting his ass. I know, it was as bizarre as it sounds.
Let's have a reminder of it:
Calvin didn't seem to be too sorry about his actions and said that Simon had a "frightening stranglehold over the music chart".
He added, "I was just inspired to make a mockery of the show. It is a joke and I think it should be treated as such.
“For the greater good of the nation, I wanted to go out there and make an idiot of myself to bring the whole show into another kind of area in which it’s treated as a joke."
After that, Simon imposed a lifetime ban on the Scottish DJ but now that has been lifted. According to The Mirror, Calvin will take part in the new series as one of the guest judges.
He will appear at Nicole Scherzinger’s side in the Judges’ Houses segment in Nice, France next month. He could also be appearing on the show in the live finals if he has any music coming out.
Looks like he doesn't think it's a joke of a show anymore then.
