The Lion King live action remake came out a few weeks back.
And despite extremely mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, the film has got one eternally good thing going for it - it's adorable.
It's got baby animals after all, how could it not be?
One particularly cute animal in The Lion King live action remake is baby Simba. Because he's a baby lion.
You don't really get more cute than that.
As it turns out though, baby Simba wasn't just imagined out of thin air. In fact, he was inspired by a real life lion cub - one named Bahati.

Adorable? Yes, absolutely.
Worthy of making an entire movie about? You bet.
The female lion's movements, currently residing in a Dallas zoo, were provided to Disney when she was just one month old, leading the zoo to believe that Simba was at least partially based on her.
And yeah, if you watch the above video you can absolutely see where they're coming from.
