The EastEnders spin-off, Redwater, aired earlier this year. It was a six-part drama following Kat Slater and Alfie Moon as they went in search of their long-lost son in the fictional village of Redwater in Ireland.
Initially, it was a huge success but after falling ratings there was doubt over a second series. But with the series ending on a cliffhanger, fans were understandably hoping for a continuation.
Looks like we finally have an answer and it's not good news for fans of the show.
Jessie was on Lorraine Kelly's show where she said that doesn't think it will be back. She put it bluntly, "I don't think there will be another series."
A BBC spokesperson has also sealed the fate of the show after telling Digital Spy that it won't be returning:
"In order to increase the range of new original drama on BBC One, Kat & Alfie: Redwater won't be returning."
