Some of our favourite childhood cartoons are coming together for a new movie.
Jared Hess, the director of
Napoleon Dynamite and
Nacho Libre, will direct the new movie which is now in development.
It will be called
Nick Toons and will see a return of some of our favourite 90's
Nickelodeon cartoon characters, including
The Rugrats,
Rocko's Modern Life and
Ren and Stimpy.
Polygon are reporting that it will be 'a Nickelodeon-style take on the cartoon and live-action-blending film
Who Framed Roger Rabbit?'
A spokesperson for
Paramount Pictures told them:
"The project comes at a time when there is renewed interest in Nickelodeon's library of characters from the last 25 years."
