Gavin and Stacey's Alison Steadman has opened up about why she "doubts" there will be more episodes.
Ever since the BBC sitcom returned for a Christmas special last year, there has been talk of more episodes - particularly after that cliffhanger.
However, Alison Steadman - who plays Pam Shipman - recently opened up about why she "doubts" there will be more episodes on the way.
"I would doubt it, only because James [Corden] is in America – such a big star now – Ruth [Jones] is so busy, she's writing novels. So I doubt it," she said during a recent appearance on This Morning [via Digital Spy], although she notes a "special would be amazing."
She also revealed that she "nearly dropped" her phone out of shock, when she got the text about returning for the special.
"It was the best thing, because we never thought it would happen. I was convinced, it had been 10 years, I'd asked over and over again. And I said, 'no, it's definitely not going to happen, let's just let it lie.'" she said, as she recalled what it was like signing up for the return.
"And suddenly I got a text from Ruth Jones, and she said, 'if this happened would you be willing to take part.' And I nearly dropped my phone."
