“THIS COUNTRY IS BOLLOX€D”.
Next month Irish audiences are set to be the first to see the new film from Kisses director Lance Daly. Life’s A Breeze pairs The Guard stars Pat Shortt and Fionnula Flanagan together once more, and they’re joined by such Irish heavyweights as Eva Birthistle, Gerry McCann, Philip Judge, Lesley Conroy, Peter Coonan, Brian Gleeson, Paul Ronan, and a sparkling performance from newcomer Kelly Thornton. Even Ryan Tubridy and Joe Duffy make an appearance in cameo roles.
The feel-good "recession comedy" centres around a family struggling to stay afloat and stay together through hard times in Ireland. Unemployed slacker Colm (Pat Shortt), his aging mother Nan (Fionnula Flanagan) and his niece Emma (Kelly Thornton) must overcome their many differences to lead their family in a race against time to find a lost fortune.
