Emmerdale’s Jacob to finally find out the truth about Maya this week

Or maybe he won't.

Who can say for sure? It begins this week, guys. The reveal. The flashback. The finally figuring out whether Maya is dead and gone forever or going to show up at some point and try to groom some other poor unsuspecting child. We're hoping for the former, but realistically it's probably going to be the latter. This storyline has gone on long enough, after all. May as well drag it out for a bit longer. This week marks the beginning of the pivotal flashback episodes that will finally give viewers an insight into what actually happened to Maya when she was driven off into the woods. Was she killed? Was she beaten? Was she tied up and kept as prisoner? Or did she flee? These, and more questions (maybe), will start to be answered tonight as a week of flashback episodes kick off. Jacob will also finally start to understand what has happened to his groomer. Leyla will pull the teenager aside tonight and confront him for the first time since she sealed Maya's fate, whatever that may have been. Jacob, who has been away for the past week and therefore none the wiser is clearly going to take issue with the fact that his teacher is nowhere to be found. But will what Leyla tells him be enough to convince him that he was, in fact, being abused? Or will he struggle to understand after months of being groomed? It's looking fairly unlikely that we'll find out exactly what happened to the paedophile in tonight's episode, but we're getting there guys. It's only a matter of time.
