Besides the start of a new month, today [April 1] also marks something else: seven new Studio Ghibli films were released on Netflix today. In January, the streaming service announced that they acquired 21 films from the animation studio - and have been staggering the release of said films ever since. "Studio Ghibli’s animated films are legendary and have enthralled fans around the world for over 35 years," a spokesperson for Netflix said at the time. “We’re excited to make them available in more languages across Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia – so that more people can enjoy this whimsical and wonderful world of animation. Here are the titles that landed on Netflix on April 1.

Pom Poko (1994)
