Just kidding, you did live, you've just lived a considerably less delightful life than the rest of us.
Shame.
Thankfully, all of that will soon be remedied because Netflix are adding 21 Studio Ghibli films to their catalogue over the next few months.
We're talking
My Neighbour Totoro, we're talking
Castle in the Sky, we're talking
Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, and
Ponyo too.
The absolute dream, tbh.

The films will arrive in batches starting February 1 until the beginning of April.
The first batch will be
Castle in the Sky (1986)
My Neighbor Totoro (1988)
Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989)
Only Yesterday (1991)
Porco Rosso (1992)
Ocean Waves (1993) and
Tales from Earthsea (2006).
The second batch, coming March 1, will be
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984)
Princess Mononoke (1997)
My Neighbors the Yamadas (1999)
Spirited Away (2001)
The Cat Returns (2002)
Arrietty (2010) and
The Tale of The Princess Kaguya (2013).
The third batch, coming April 1, will be
Pom Poko (1994)
Whisper of the Heart (1995)
Howl's Moving Castle (2004)
Ponyo (2008) F
rom Up on Poppy Hill (2011)
The Wind Rises (2013) and
When Marnie Was There (2014).

"Studio Ghibli’s animated films are legendary and have enthralled fans around the world for over 35 years," said Netflix.
“We’re excited to make them available in more languages across Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia – so that more people can enjoy this whimsical and wonderful world of animation.”
Studio Ghibli was founded in Japan in 1985 and currently has its headquarters in Tokyo.
They have confirmed that they will be working in two new films in 2020.
