Charlize Theron has spoken about the amount of attention that the media pay to every aspect of her private life. The Oscar-winning actress was speaking to Sky News when she was asked about what is written about her online. She replied: “I don’t do that (Google myself), that’s my saving grace. I think it’s when you start living in that world and doing that that you start, I guess, feeling raped”. When asked to expand, she added: “Well, when it comes to your son and your private life. Maybe it’s just me. Some people might relish in all that stuff but there are certain things in my life that I think of as very sacred and I am very protective over them”. Charlize, who was pictured in London earlier this week with her son and partner Sean Penn, explained that she does appreciate the perks of her job. “To fly first class to London, to be able to do that with my son and my family, I’m definitely not jaded about any of that stuff... but it does not mean that every aspect of my life all of a sudden becomes fodder for an article”. The 38-year-old star from South Africa has previously fronted an anti-rape advertisement titled “Real men don’t rape”.
