Andy Murray is known for being cool, calm and collected on the court but he has gotten himself in some major trouble following Great Britain's Davis Cup win.
The tennis star, who is engaged to Kim Sears, was being interviewed by Eurosport following his team's victory over the US when he mentioned that teammate Dominic Inglot “had a little girlfriend on the go” in Glasgow and would be celebrating with her.
However, the light-hearted mood quickly changed when Inglot replied to say that he had a girlfriend watching at home and Murray has "landed me in this".
Inglot has since tweeted to say that the admission was just banter between himself and Murray and denied cheating on his girlfriend, who is believed to have been dating for six months.
Just to clarify, there is no girl on the side. The joke interview was just a joke. All banter with @andy_murray

According to The Telegraph, the 'Glasgow girlfriend' that Murray was referring to is actually a female fan who had been trying to get Inglot's attention at the match and had become a running joke between the players, with the Scottish champion unaware that Inglot already had a partner.
