If any GAA player wants to follow in the sartorial footsteps of this rugby lad, that's just fine by us…
We may have remarked upon these pages once or twice on how well Tommy Bowe is looking. It’s usually very little to do with this clothing, but we digress. It’s well known that the Monaghan man can rock more than a jersey, and his natural sense of style has won him more than one advertising campaign.
It seems now, though, that the Mayo senior football panel are set to follow in his stylish footsteps. Bowe has signed a deal with his Lloyd&Pryce brand to provide footwear for the Mayo senior panel, who will take on Dublin in the All-Ireland final this Sunday. Tommy and the Monaghan based brand Lloyd&Pryce made the deal through Mayo’s number six Donal Vaughan, who knows a thing or two about shoes himself - Donal’s family own two well established shoe shops in Ballinrobe and Claremorris.
The Mayo team will wear deck shoe style “Best”, named after Ireland and Ulster hooker Rory Best. Incidentally, if you’d like a man in your life to follow suit, “Best” retails at €69.99 and is available in over 100 leading clothing and footwear stores nationwide.

Lloyd&Pryce sister brand “Escape” is also sponsoring the Senior and Minor panels and the backroom staff to complement their suit wear on the Big Day. The Seniors decided on a tan brogue style called “Glen”, while the Minors opted for a slip-on style called “Marcus”, also in tan, style mavericks that they are.

Tommy said, “We’re delighted to do this deal with the Mayo lads and we’d like to wish both teams the best of luck on All-Ireland Day.” Sure. Both of them.
Hon the green and red!
