When asked about trusting a recommendation from an influencer online, women admitted to having greater trust in social media personalities than men, with nearly two-thirds of them saying they would be likely to buy a product recommended by an influencer versus only half of men. In terms of news consumption, just under half the people surveyed say they ‘get most of their news’ from social network links, over a third get it from online news sites and a fifth say they get it from traditional news sources.
