Happy Taylor Swift Day to those who celebrate

The singer never fails to amaze or surprise us and her latest release The Tortured Poets Department is everything fans hoped for and more.

It feels like the sister album of folklore and evermore, but more mature, more heartbreaking, and more honest than ever before.

There's no doubt the album was heavily inspired by Swift's split from her partner of six years Joe Alwyn.

It's her story but fans can still relate to the deeply personal diary of their failed love story.

It's about heartbreak, loss, and grieving a relationship that once meant so much to you.

But it's also about soldiering on no matter what is going on in your personal life, putting on a brave face, and not letting heartache get the better of you.

Swift is at her best when writing about heartbreak

It is Swift at her most honest and personal. She's inviting fans into her world through beautifully moving lyrics that are helping us piece together what happened between her and Alwyn.

Losing the love of your life after six years together is something that'd break even the coldest heart and there's no doubt many people have welled up listening to songs like loml, So Long London, and I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.

Alwyn and Swift ended their six-year relationship last April, but both have remained quiet about the end of their love story.

However, Swift has now lifted the lid on the end of their love story and her broken heart.

The singer even hints at how they could've tied the knot in So Long, London.

Swift sings: "You swore that you loved me, but where were the clues? I died on the altar waiting for the proof."

The All Too Well singer says songwriting has always helped her in life, but working on this album helped put her back together.

"It sort of reminded me of why songwriting is something that actually gets me through life and I’ve never had an album where I’ve needed songwriting more than I needed it on ‘Tortured Poets," she shared.

The Tortured Poets Department has proven that Swift is in a league of her own and always will be if she continues releasing pure magic like this.
