A new Taylor Swift album is on the way
Taylor Swift has announced her next album, The Life of a Showgirl.
Swift confirmed the news on her boyfriend Travis Kelce's podcast, New Heights.
The American footballer and his brother, Jason Kelce, were joined by Swift on their podcast this week.
In a teaser for the episode, Swift confirmed that her twelfth studio album is coming soon.
Ahead of her appearance on the podcast, Taylor Nation posted twelve photos of Swift from the Eras Tour and captioned the carousel, “Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era … ’”
Taylor Swift has not yet confirmed when the album will be released, but fans believe it will include a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.
Fans also believe Max Martin and Shellback have worked on this album with Swift after she created a playlist titled 'And, baby, that’s show business for you' on Spotify.
The playlist is made up entirely of songs from Red, 1989, and Reputation, all produced by Max Martin and Shellback.
News of Swift's twelfth album comes after the Grammy winner bought back all of her masters.
In May, the All Too Well singer announced that she bought the masters of her six albums that were recorded under Big Machine Records.
Swift acquired the albums and their associated visual artwork from their most recent owner, Shamrock Capital, for an undisclosed nine-figure sum, per Variety.
