The Women's Marches were held over the weekend, with numerous celebrities lending their voices to the cause of women's rights.

The main march was held in Washington, D.C in America aswell as individual European capitals and our own Dublin and Galway. The event in Washington was televised and reported with celebrities such as Madonna, Lena Dunham, America Ferrera, Scarlett Johannson and Katy Perry all sparing their day to march for women's rights around the world. One woman in particular who was notably absent at the marches was Taylor Swift. While Taylor was missing from the marches, she did tweet a message of support to her fellow women out marching and doing the good work.

Given her past of being feminist, especially in her Bad Blood video with her entire female 'squad', people took issue with the fact that Taylor wasn't dedicated to proclaiming women's rights.

Other celebrities that were victim of being shamed for not marching is Harry Styles, (coincidentally Taylor's ex) who sent a quick tweet but decided not to march.
